  • Why is the College developing online courses?

    The College hosts a variety of workshops and courses to assist physicians and surgeons in their practice. The College’s educational workshops are being transitioned to online learning opportunities in order to make them more accessible to busy registrants across the province.

  • Why is a separate account required to take the courses?

    For privacy reasons, the College’s online learning platform is not integrated with registrants’ CPSID and password. To create an account, only name and email address are required.

  • Are the courses eligible for CPD credits?

    Registrants may wish to consider claiming self-learning credits.

    Some future courses will be accredited and registrants will be eligible to obtain CPD credits. A certificate will be available upon successful completion of each course. See each course information page for details.

  • Are the courses mandatory for all registrants?

    The courses are optional unless a registrant is instructed to take a course as part of a remedial process to make improvements in their practice.

  • How long are the courses?

    Length varies by course. See each course information page for details.

  • Is there a fee to take the courses?

    Self-paced courses are free. Courses that involve instructor-led sessions require a nominal fee to cover costs. See each course information page for details.

  • Is there a limited number of space in each course?

    Space is not limited for self-paced courses. Courses that involve instructor-led sessions have a limited number of spaces. See each course information page for availability or contact the College to join the waitlist.

  • How can registrants provide feedback?

    A survey link is available at the end of each course for registrants to share their thoughts and suggestions.
